Capital One "Mud Bowl"

It has been almost a month since Penn State beat LSU in the Capital One Mud Bowl and I am finally going to finish my PSU blog! We had a great time in spite of the chilly temps and pouring rain the day of the game. We arrived in Orlando on Dec.23rd and got to enjoy Christmas day with our family and friends from Fort Bellefonte. We stayed at the Mouse Mountain Campground and had a wonderful Christmas dinner!

The team stayed in Orlando at the Peabody Hotel. Besides the theme parks, all around the hotel and town were festivities relating to the bowl game.

Paul hoisted his favorite team's helmet.

Mick tried out to be an arm chair quarterback on the moving recliner.

In case we didn't have enough fan merchandise, plenty of it was sold at the Peabody Hotel.

The fountain at the Peabody Hotel became the duck pond every day after 11:00 am.

'82 crew' waited for the ducks to arrive by elevator from the 22nd floor of the hotel.

The red carpet was rolled out daily for the ducks to walk from the elevator to the fountain.

'82 Crew' enjoyed New Year's Eve in the hotel lobby.

Game day outside the hotel

In spite of the pouring rain and chilly temps, '82 crew' decided to have their own 'white out' and support their favorite player!

The last time our favorite warmed up in a Penn State uniform.

The lovely '82 crew' ladies!

The winning drive of the game.
Guess who the TE was?

I wonder what he was thinking at this moment?

The team received the Capital One Bowl game winner's trophy.

All smiles after the game

This ends the PSU blog. I will do one recap of the whole season in pictures and a picture blog of our visits to Disney, then the focus of the psuprideoflions blog will be on preparing for the next level. Thanks for being part of the 82 crew!

Next up Disney!
